“Back to the blog again, yo, better go capture these moments….”
Welcome to my “Sunny Day Blog”. This is my little piece of light to contribute to the world… to inflate and inspire you… to help you see a “ray of sunshine” even on dark days.
I wish the world were a little bit less “on fire” these days. It is hard to get through a day without hearing about some conflict, illness, or politics. Our minds are bombarded with opinions, memes, and judgement.
It is a hard time to be human. But, we are human… much too human.
I have tried my best to set boundaries about the media I ingest, the time I spend on social media, and the hours I spend fixating on data. I stopped writing for a while because I did not want to offend or add salt to the wounds of the world. So many are hurting; so many believe that they have the answers. So many are full of anger and bitterness.
This blog is a place devoted to uplifting others, loving our neighbors, and providing mental support to each other regardless of backgrounds or beliefs. If you don’t want to grow, I implore you to put this down. If you don’t want to learn about loving others and nurturing critical thought, this many not be the place for you. I seek fellowship with people who want to open minds, expand their perspectives, and sharpen their intellect. “Like iron sharpening iron” our different gifts and experiences can make each other stronger. Together, we can help each other’s mental health, give voice to the voiceless and know we are not alone in our loneliness and frustration during this time. I welcome dialogue and hope we will grow something beautiful together – empathy, kindness, goodness, and joy.
I pray this blog brings you art and words to inflate and inspire you. To give you spirit and hope when you feel like you can not keep going or dealing with this world “on fire”. When you feel lonely or sad, know you are not alone! This blog and my art are also a productive outlet for me, “a valued occupation” to help me find catharsis, cope, and hopefully something productive of my ruminating mind.
